Greenmarket supports farmers and preserves farmland for the future by providing regional farmers with opportunities to sell their fruits, vegetables and other products at our open-air farmers markets throughout New York City. Since 1976, Greenmarket has promoted regional agriculture and ensured a continuing supply of fresh, local produce for all New Yorkers. This famous market takes place in Union Square every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
